DR TAVEAU’S ARCHIVED BLESSED KNOWLEDGE..as in what God used to help deliver the HER from being a mega pessimist, fear based, a continual closet worry wart and one whom the TV news could really bring a mega depressing melancholy LOW.
So digging DEEP to what has helped MOI, and also VAST many thousands of others…
MY DEEP PERSONAL WAY DOWN …REVIEW, plus WHAT provoked a gradual UPWARD (QUIET, PERSONAL) SPIRITUAL REVIVAL
I was part of the Jesus People Movement, well not officially, but produced due to their national overflow..meaning…out in the big rank and file populous, as it was shared via media but mostly through the birth of MANY various “praise and worship” meaningful groups, different movements.
And at first being raised in a denomination, non traditional Southern Baptists, ..I can tell YOU that this was indeed a big (and by yours truly much-appreciated,due) change.
And while I was raised in a happy camper, no abuse, violence, or deep emotional deprivation, and was raised comfortably, being the oldest of two cherished sisters…evidently the ENEMY of each of our souls was trying to take me down, take me out and cripple me via tormenting fear, apprehension and deathly afraid, hyper pessimistic about the FUTURE…and then realizing we were /are living in what the Bible calls the LAST End Time DAYS ..and that time is really SHORT…put me never wanting to have children, as WHO would want to bring a baby into a world like THIS.
Add to all of this… the nightly news, the drugs seeming to birth a growing violent crime rate, plus national “near, appearance of impending.. all out World War 3 ” events…it was very (on an ongoing BIG basis) extremely upsetting.
BUT…
BUT (thankfully!)…I had accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord…and I truly knew what it meant. I also was surrounded by a praying family and had not directly encountered any “plastic phony saints” or “characterless ministry true characters” to make me big time confused. (All of that was God’s grace, nothing deserved or warranted). I always respected all Christian ministers, and lay… as I had never back then met a Faith Filled Religious Tough Customer nor had at any time experienced any bias, accusation or disrespect , far off, less than affirmative, Phariseeical Sin Spying.. from any “born again Christian.”
UNHAPPY ASIDE..Neither had I known any Christian who expected to possess me, to apply undue real pressure on me to 1) give monies 2) to leader bow and scrape, And ZERO political partisan, or gender /racial Bias ever reared it’s ugly fervent religious self righteous head.** (**however, big glimpses of that that would come much later, when sent by the Lord to surf and peruse His USA Christian mature Body.’
Thus, due to God’s own undeserved MERCY, this human real person who happens to come in a Western European female, EARTHSUIT, was by this able to “perceive and discern” and undeniably “assess” WHO and WHY we really want to /ought to “invite Christ into our hearts” …not just for Eternal Salvation (which is the main reason He invites us)..but also for the practical, day to day ongoing HELP, JOY and DISCERNMENT,keep a good PERSPECTIVE and precise DIRECTION that comes as an added big “only available to Jesus Accepters’ offered FREE BONUS.. the deposit of a supernatural GPS* (*akin to Ezk. 1 Wheel), FRIEND, COMFORTER, AIDE….God’s abiding Holy Spirit….
WHICH I DID want to accept Him.. and thus I did… AND I have always been SO VERY GLAD!
BUT THEN DURING THE late 70’s, 80’s , prophetic 90’s..ONWARD…WHICH I MEAN: BASICALLY
YET, in major hindsight, now I can recall all the God expansion, via GIANT, MEGA, WORSHIP, TV MINISTRY, NATIONAL AUTHENTIC MOVEMENTS and edifying ,empowering Bible teachers, affirming Body movements..and they wove, still weave a silent thread in the midst of what otherwise is deep chaos,darkness and Ego Centeredness gone Out of All Control.
YET, as this was sort of New..no prior “worship, praising” teaching existed..to explain WHY and WHAT goes on WHEN we choose to PRAISE the LORD” and to “give THANKS in ALL THINGS” (not also meaning FOR all types of things)
SO I submit this ANCIENT “POWER AND PRAISE” book link….(just beneath) which for ME laid a foundational teaching…
AND it’s PDF FILE (the entire small paperback of POWER TO PRAISE is on GOOGLE ..but I will let YOU google search for it.) As I recall, the chaplain who wrote this, had 3 in the series,but when I read all 3, THIS ONE is the MAJOR ONE that informed me, jump started ME and along with much Bible study, truly doing my own continual “INNER WORK” and also embracing “RENEWING MY MIND” (applying OUR faith in the power invested) In God’s Holy Word.

THUS …combining the above… and God working in a (super slow, big) truth revealing, imparting, training, maturing PROCESS…..all (as in combined) is what transformed, the former BLUE, deeply MELANCHOLY,really depressed, continually WORRIED, DOWN, AND afraid, DARKLY DEPRESSED about having CHILDREN in this “dark, waxing so wicked, troubled world” AND along with HOPE, TRUST and “Taking it DAY BY DAY (hence the featured song …far below)
THE OVERCOMING BRIGHT INNER DISCERNED HOLY SPIRIT…S-L-O-W-L-Y changed me, liberated me and PRESERVED ME but ongoing birthed in me an ONGOING BIG HOLY SPIRIT STRONG MATURE ABOUNDING HOPE!

MAIN POINT: when YOU feel attacked by hopelessness, powerlessness, (non medical in origin) depression, it is SPIRITUAL ATTACK (spiritual warfare ) on your Mind, Will, Emotions, SOUL, Spirit AND Perceptive, Discernment and Perception REAL REALM.
