THE HAPPY FAMILY CLAN ENDING

MINISTRY PERSPECTIVE:
THE LONG TERM MERCY OF GOD : GOD IS STILL THERE FOR JACOB

1. And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

NOTE: Due to the actions of both of his sons, LEVI and SIMEON, as the chief over all of the 12 TRIBES the nation of Israel PATRIARCHAL LEADER JACOB has the over all major responsibility of devising a PLAN which can incur the safe future of his CLAN, meaning all of the 12 Hebrew tribes, which are all of his relatives, family , progeny and future offspring.

THE PROVERBIAL BUCK STOPS WITH THE HEAD LEADER, JACOB. And when any one of his many children seriously acted out, it was all viewed as affecting JACOB’S FAMILY REPUTATION..which due to family /tribe honor, would often repeatedly begin a major vengeful conflagration.

NOTE: DUE TO THE NEED TO FILL IN MANY VARIOUS PERSONS WHO EACH MAY HAVE MAJOR DIFFERENCES IN INHERITED DOCTRINES…and due to the sheer complexity of attempting to cover all of the many different apostolic bases, I just posted a FILL IN THE GAPS JAN 30, tie in to LEVI PROPHTIC ROOTS

GENESIS 35:1-15 THE HAPPY FAMILY CLAN ENDING:

GOD IS STILL THERE FOR JACOB

strong>1. And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

NOTE: Jacob listens… He chooses to arise, even if it means removing himself from a secure place of comfort. And in addition, Jacob must take his extended family, including livestock.

So PATRIARCH JACOB traverses to BETHEL and the Bible says that Jacod “dwells there.”.. implied meaning that is not going to be God transforming the big human deceiver nature way deep down inside the Father of the 12 Hebrew Tribes…no, this is not Daddy Jacob checking in to say over night at the Motel 6…and checking out the next day after a magic QUICK FIX MIRACLE…

…NO, the time spent wrestling with the living GOD is not all that long, but it is DEEP and JACOB truly has to press into God and “MEAN BUSINESS” ,even to the point of “wrestling” until his God puts Jacobs leg out of joint.: to give wily JACOB an experience and a remaining point of contact so that he will deeply internalize God’s majesty and supernatural strength and might.

It seems that father JACOB is used to having his own way..so much in fact, that this gives evidence of GOD grabbing hold of him to show shifty Jacob that HE is BOSS and MEANS SERIOUS BUSINESS… (at least in the writer’s leader point of view)

GENESIS 35:1-5

1. And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

** God subtly reminds sneaky Patriarch Jacob of his REAL LIFE LONG DEEP SELF by bringing up his twin brother ESAU, whom he betrayed in order to get his birthright inheritance and to secure FIRST BORN ESAUS’S (Issaac) Father’s First Born Blessing

2. Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

NOTE: The Patriarch has a spiritual awakening. He understands that he has tolerated his extended family keeping false idols in his camp. It sounds like formerly spiritually compromising, Jacob MAN’S UP to STAND UP to forbid his wives, children, extended family, servants to get rid of each of their surely many big and small unclean idols.

NOTE THE PURIFICATION SIMPLE BUT GOD SUBMITTED PROCESS:

Identify what, where the IDOLS are
Take action to PUT THEM AWAY
BE CLEAN..go forth without saving any thing back
CHANGE YOUR (might mean physical, but could also imply mental, emotional, social, positional, and many times Little g idol gods might be SELF)

3. And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

NOTE: Jacob departs to go to sit before God all by himself. And even though Jacob, who has been less than upfront, honest and truly honorable, from his youth upward, he still deeply understands the genuine compassionate, caring NATURE, of his Eternal Father, God. Thus Jacob recalls WHEN GOD WAS THERE FOR HIM…

…..and had BEEN WITH THE CONNIVER THIEF every single hour of each and every day…which tell about residing “fear of the Lord” which lived in side JACOB’S heart but which was continually being warred against by his own human WILLFUL, FALLEN SIN NATURE

4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.

NOTE: This time the entire family submits to the Patrairch’s decree. Perhaps they have become less resistant, much less stoney hearted, even potentially more pure hearted, coming from the fear of many area tribes coming for retaliation against them, due to LEIV and SIMEONS big treachery. *Usually hard hearted persons will change and resort to ANY means to escape from an endearing fiery advancing trial.. (angst about fear will drive many toward the LORD).

5. And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

NOTE: The entire Jacob extended family now continues upon their way, and, due to JACOB rising up in his God called leader authority to command that his entire family get rid of each of their idols…

…..add to this the fact that the each person within the family also did that…then means that THEY were not making the choices which would block GOD from giving them HIS HAND OF BLESSING..and in this case SUPERNATURAL FAVOR and PROTECTION….

….And it was as if “God made seeing eyes BLIND” to keep the enemies from attacking JACOB, his sons and extended family, possessions, livestock.

GOD IS SO GOOD!

6. Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him.

NOTE: Implying clearly: they all safely made it!

7. And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

NOTE: The Patriarch Jacob builds an altar there because the LORD had appeared to him there, even after he had hoodwinked his twin brother, ESAU )and was running away from his wrath, in order to simply to save his own sneaky hide?)
NOTE: That says it all.

9. And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him.

NOTE: Shortly after the safe arrival of the Jacob Extended Family, Patriarch Jacob’s favorite wife , REBEKAH’s nurse dies and is soon after buried.

AND GOD appears once more to JACOB simply to BLESS HIM…

10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.

NOTE: While these Bible verses relate a simply desert elder’s story, in just a few short verses, it was an enormously significant ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE event.

Had Father Jacob remained callous, very shallow and/or had tried to run FROM being held responsible by the LORD and had he not yielded to the LORD’s commands to get rid of (clean from ) all of his, even his HOUSE HOLD’S many false IDOLS..then the Heavenly Father possibly would have remarked to Himself “Jacob’s fronting me, he has not had a true lasting HEART TRANSFORMATION…and is just trying to “put the con artist over on me” to get ME to take off the HEAVY HEAT…”

BUT INSTEAD, Jacob , who had ONCE been a big worm..BUT NOW that was in the past..so NOW he ROSE UP and STOOD UP to be the GOD CALLED TRIBAL REAL APOSTOLIC MAN that Maker God had designed HIM to be…and for that reason God poured out His MEGA BLESSING on PATRIARCH (ne’ Jacob but from now on ) ISRAEL….

11. And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

NOTE: Father God ,in a majorly affirming, blessing like command, gives newly named ISRAEL(aka the formerly weak Jacob) the exact same “organic Shalom Garden” “Pre Human Leader /All Fall” “Live Your Lives” “parental overseer” COMMAND which He had previously instructed ADAM AND EVE

PARAPHRASE OF THIS:
** I AM GOD ALMIGHTY ( implying I AM GOING TO BE WITH YOU, (“THERE FOR ALL OF YOU, GOING TO “BE THERE” FOR ALL OF YOU)…(implying “No matter WHAT you did, or anti hero role modeled in your previous , false idol worshipping, rascally Selves)

**….” So now, go head, BE VERY FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY” ( and, adding a PROPHET WORD) “ I shall make an entire NATION and a COMPANY OF NATIONS out of the tiny tribal leader SEEDS which you see around you today..but out of them shall come MAJOR KINGS.”

12. And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.

REVIEW OF LEVI FAMILY HISTORY:

LEVI’S DADDY: JACOB

THEN JACOB now renamed ISRAEL..PROUD PAPA OF LEVI (AND THE REST)

12 HEBREW TRIBES (12 TRIBES OF ISREAL…including LEVI )

and the ensuing continuing PROGENY. “more than the sands of the sea…”

13. And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.

NOTE: Newly named, Patriarch ISRAEL has been in a KAIROS holy, eternal, destiny affecting, life transforming, supernatural Holy Spirit , set apart, real time moment.
.BUT NOW, God’s transforming Glory ( meaning His Holy supernatural presence and power) at last lifts.

14 .And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.

NOTE: ISRAEL has been deeply touched by God’s supernatural invervention, appearing to be a visitation, that he wants to mark this sacred spot. Jacob’s unique experience with THE HOLY “BEING THERE “I AM” GOD leaves a deep indeliable imprint on ISRAEL’S life, his feelings of self value as well as his ability to boldly move forward in applied faith and sure FOCUS.

THIS TRANSFORMATION DESERT LOCATION now contains such powerful memories that ISRAEL sets up a stone pillar altar, then pours out a drink offering and also anoints the altar with oil .

AND as the writer closes this often sober ministry thought provoking LEVI PROPHETIC ROOTS; INVESTITATION OF OT LEVITICAL PATRIARCHISM “OFFICIAL PART 3) she will close with a bit of happy camper humor;

15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel.

NOTE: BETHEL translates into “ HOUSE OF GOD”

LOL: And this humorous writer is quick to note that this “HOUSE OF GOD” was not one inside any 4 walled edifice. It was a spiritually discerned “holy habitation, not made by hands”….

REASONING: IF THE DESERT PLACE, NAMED BETHEL TRANSLATES INTO “HOUSE OF EL” “HOUSE OF GOD” then….??

WONDERIN IF…Because the dry desert sacred spot BETHEL is translated to mean “HOUSE OF GOD..” ..then does that imply that JACOB was in NON TRADITIONAL “HOUSE OF GOD” implying a NONTRADITONAL TYPE OF CHURCH…

ALSO, if JACOB was in this GOD HOUSE …he was there “BY DIVINE APPOINTMENT” and fully accepted in WITHOUT HAVING TO FIRST SIGN UP WITH ANY OFFICIAL FORMAL MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS..as in OFFICIAL CLUB MEMBERHIP.

AND this BETHEL: HOUSE OF GOD “ had only ONE “official attendee” (meeting participant ) …

ALSO…this HOUSE OF GOD was BORN OF THE SPRIT, and not in an earthly seen building.

AND THIS (perceived) “”holy habitation, not made by human hands” was SPIRITUALLY DISCDERNED as it started to manifest supernaturally, as God’s glory cloud formed around JACOB and grew thicker as it finally manifested…and by that time THEN it began to appear in a natural VISION form..unless this was an open VISION and not anything natural ….

AND the PERCEIVER-DISCERNER prophetic visionary writer suggests that PERHAPS this can be (humoroursly? ) regarded as was more like a (spiritually discerned, not optically perceived) form of ARK, with all pure worship being done as “BEFORE AN AUDIENCE OF “THE” ONE)…

……AND could this NOT be regarded as an ANALOGY to the ONLINE MINISRY and THE E CHURCH?
