All of this  is PREPARATION  for a deep dive into Psalm 103:1-6 (KJV) with deepest meanings, scriptures, and key Hebrew + Greek terms for richer understanding. The purpose is that this is my own personal Go to Verse for Healing and I have researched this hot topic for many years, since 1980s. I have another Go To Verse for healing Romans 8:11 but I will save that for another day.

Before we assess Bible faith for healing, we must lay a big foundation.

Please note: all of the above are BIG FACETS in this and are deep, and to explain in depth and adequately it  will require “framework, ministry equipping ” in  this series… to deeply do it justice and give a reasonable Cross Body Unity Movement proper presentation… properly.

BECAUSE (Faith is faith… but not Wishful Thinking or Formula) 

1. We each acknowledge: OUR HOPE is in HIM,HIS Bible Word, but NOT in US or ANYONE else or IN THIS… for we each  make mistakes, but… we still  do our best, and TRUST HIM with the ULTIMATE..

Each of us have world weary, filled with human knowledge, facts and disappointments and ministry movements which which we either like or despise, And I am with YOU on that, having been “‘sent” to the United States ministry to know their subcultures, many doctrines and practices and to make my own summed up by what is “the best” and “not good or safe” So I will submit all of this as a “Bible scholar, take no prisoner’s SELAH”

Selah means “to pause and to contemplate its deeper meaning,” but also to compare what is said with what the Bible says, and with what God’s Spirit speaks to YOU about — what He leads you to do or not to do.

That is exactly how I approach every ministry teaching, word, article, video, or equipping and training session.

YOU, Leader-Reader, have my RESPECT — to keep only what YOU discern is “hay,” and to toss out whatever YOU sense is “stubble.”

Frankly, I believe in both medicine and doctors, as well as God’s Holy Spirit. In difficult cases, I would never avoid choosing to go to a doctor. And I frankly, would never, ever tell anyone to stop taking their medicine. That is up to them!

MAIN POINT: It is GOOD for you to follow what YOUR heart and conscience tell you to do — not what I or anyone else tells you.

I am not into “smoke and mirrors” healing, but I am also not opposed to giving God the chance to restore and heal while ‘choosing” to remain in faith and hope”. However, I choose to remain both safe and Holy Bible Scripture–led, doing what is natural as well as spiritual.

That said, I do know a lot — and I acknowledge the great grace of God in having  remained basically (very) well and healthy despite facing some of the most extreme, unkind situations. (but also learned about ‘faith for remaining well in the 1980s, thanks to God using  Word of Faith , and I always, studied, prayed and worked out and ate basically healthy and also”persevered, persisted,forgave a lot of individuals, and did not give up..meaning ” TRUSTED and BELIEVED.”The Point of View is what I want to share today: “The Natural AND the Spiritual” with God’s big mercy and grace)

KEY…PET POINT — For Parents:
I caution all parents: NEVER withhold taking YOUR BELOVED CHILD to the doctor simply because of the medical bill you may have to pay, or the cost of the medicine (even if it is high).

PARENTAL POINT:
For over 25 years, I have read online reports and news articles about too many children dying because their parents withheld needed medical treatment or medicine, while “claiming healing by faith.”

DO NOT BE THAT FOOLISH.
Tragically, these parents often go to prison — after the child has died.

POINT I am PRO  giving God the chance to restore and heal,but am equally PRO to doing what is NATURAL prior to getting ILL in order to REMAIN HEALTHY (we need pro action ) but I will go into that later.

I promote doing ONLY WHAT IS SAFE,  and balanced along with Spirit directed, Holy Bible Scripture and mainly “FAITH AND PATIENCE” which I will describe next (Below)

FAITH POINT: I believe God uses the NATURAL and the SUPERNATURAL but only YOU and HE can tell what and how much of each in. every single unique situation. (For their any individual, natural, spiritual and life factors involved..I repeat MANY and there are NO FORMULAS yet many “appear to similar” and I have been around this a LOT since 1980s, both with myself, family and many others. (it’s no recipe, no exact formula, but one can improve and learn about the Bible and faith and our SELVES.)

I will begin to expound upon the PSALM 103:1-6 in the next article. But first  we must be self aware of what is inside our own hearts, for this is the foundational  Scripture for all healing, answers to prayers, miracles, signs and wonders, and getting of Long Term Egypt confinement, and rather upsetting and very unpleasant, often extreme circumstances;

ASIDE: This HEALING ADVENTURE is a PROCESS which can be short OR VERY LENGTHY process, WARNING: My view is I try to ponder, and dwell upon God’s promises, actively listen to healing scriptures (several on You Tube ,and select the one that carries the anointing that “touches my spirit” and Bible verses, the pastor reader which bears the “healing anointing ” that “touches ” “ignites my most holy Faith” and I feel has the Holy Spirit power that kindles my faith” (each time may require the same, or  a different reader or a few) “NO ONE SIZE FITS ALL IN THIS”

Healing and Unforgiveness in the Bible

The Bible teaches a deep connection between healing and forgiveness. Unforgiveness is not just an emotional burden but a spiritual barrier that can hinder God’s healing power in our lives.

In Mark 11:25, Jesus instructs, “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” This shows that forgiveness is a prerequisite for effective prayer, including prayers for healing.

Likewise, Matthew 6:14-15 reminds us, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Without forgiving others, we block God’s forgiveness toward us—thus hindering the fullness of His blessings, including healing.

James encourages believers to confess and seek prayer for healing:
“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders… And the prayer of faith shall save the sick… if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:14-15) Forgiveness of sins is closely linked to restoration of health.

Psalm 103:2-3 beautifully pairs forgiveness and healing: “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.” God’s mercy covers both our spiritual and physical needs.

Jesus emphasizes continual forgiveness in Matthew 18:21-22, teaching us to forgive without limit. Holding on to unforgiveness can block God’s blessings and prevent healing.

In conclusion, forgiveness opens the door for God’s healing. Letting go of bitterness and forgiving others aligns us with God’s will, enabling Him to restore and heal fully.

Once More: The Bible lists  Scriptures Linking Healing and Forgiveness:

1. Mark 11:25“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

• This verse shows the importance of forgiving others when we pray, implying that unforgiveness can block our prayers, including prayers for healing.

2. Matthew 6:14-15“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

• Unforgiveness impacts our own forgiveness, which is key to receiving God’s blessings, including healing.

3. James 5:14-16“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

• Forgiveness of sins is linked with healing. Confessing and forgiveness help restore spiritual and physical health.

4. Matthew 18:21-22“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

• Jesus commands us to forgive continually, showing unforgiveness is a serious barrier.

Repeat ….5. Psalm 103:2-3 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;”

• Forgiveness and healing are presented together as benefits from God.

Summary: Pastor TD Note: Personal Inventary is Required

Meaning: each and every time one has a healing big need..the situations are different, and ought to be assessed as “having NO formulas, and each time, each person is an individual unique)..
Therefore. you and I, each of them,   must take personal self inventory regarding the following:

Unforgiveness can hinder healing because it blocks God’s forgiveness and our prayers. Forgiving others is essential to receive God’s healing power.

BIG CHECK LIST

This last is a huge part, and I have to live this too, and I historically continue to do this..and am mostly,   usually  healthy) (chipper, light hearted and mirthful)

That’s a powerful and deeply reflective question—and it’s one that aligns with Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV):“

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Here’s a short devotional-style reflection you can use for prayer and inner searching:

Personal Heart Check: Bitterness, Forgiveness & Healing

Lord, do I have any unforgiveness hiding in my heart?
Any bitterness? Anger? Hatred? Resentment? Grudges?

Not just toward the obvious—
But toward the forgotten and ignored:

• Parents who let me down

• Exes who betrayed me

• Family who were mean

• Ministries who judged or wounded me

• Political systems that stir fear or frustration

• Races or groups I’ve blamed in my heart

• Leaders who used their power wrongly

• Even… You, Lord.

• Even… me.

Lord: Help me not to mask bitterness as righteousness.
Lord: Help me not to call resentment “discernment.”
Lord; Help me not to keep hidden unforgiveness under years of silence, fake peace, or spiritual talk.

Lord Jesus, You said in Matthew 6:15:

“But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

And I don’t want anything in my heart to block You.

Right now—I ask:
Show me the faces, names, moments, offenses.
Bring them to mind. Let me weep if needed.
But don’t let me keep carrying it.

I release them.
I bless them.
I forgive them.
And I also forgive… me.

Create in me a clean heart, O God (Psalm 51:10).
Wash me. Heal me. Restore me.

Amen.
