WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE IN OLD TESTAMENT AND NEW TESTAMENT OFFICE OF THE PROPHET?

THE NEW TESTAMENT OFFICE OF THE PROPHET, SPIRIT OF PROPHECY

IFFM POINT:THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, WALKING IN THE OFFICE OF A TRUE PROPHET as revealed by HEBREWS 1:1-2
NOTE: this is the MAIN IFFM DIFFERENCE when we compare with many others who train on moving in the Gifts.

MAIN IFFM POINT: IFFM maintains that maintaining all Holy BIble RELATIONSHIPS matter far more than “achieving any GIFT” and that by Modeling training on THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, ALL SPIRITUAL GIFTS and OFFICE MINISTRY GIFTS in a ministry DOCTRINAL JESUS CHRIST RELATIONSHIP MANNER will then make many more “Spiritually Safe Haven Refuge Local Churches” for the thirsty and weary.

We now submit the following in SELAH, rather than DOGMATIC form.

IFFM MAIN POINT: THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN USING OLD TESTAMENT LEVITICAL LAW AND JESUS CHRIST NON LEGALISTIC FREEDOM WHEN TRAINING on moving in the GIFTS:

HEBREWS 1:1-2
“1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”

IFFM POINT: OLD TESTAMENT TRUE PROPHETS
HEBREWS 1:1 ” God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”

NAMES OF SOME THE OT PROPHETS: Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Obadiah, Daniel, Isaiah, Malachi,Amos, Joel, Nehemiah,Noah, Enoch, etc.

BACK THEN nobody carried around God’s Holy Spirit deposit in their hearts. God set up the TORAH, the PROPHETS who went to seek the word of the Lord on behalf of God’s PEOPLE.

IF we Bible study the OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS from a NEW TESTAMENT viewpoint, we use their ACTIONS, DIVERSE MINISTRY METHODS, USING SIGNS AND WONDERS, giving NATIONAL LEADER, TEMPLE PRIEST WARNINGS, etc as “modern day ministry principles” which can allow those being called and equipped in GOd’s NEW TESTAMENT high OFFICE (Ephes 4:11) to understand some of the intense, spiritual,natural, even governmental leader warfare that they may repeatedly encounter..and often this happens when they are NOT surrounded by “staff” or “entourage.”

IN THE OLD TESTAMENT Prophetic Times God spoke through the prophets “in diverse manners” EXAMPLE: signs and wonders, prophetic acts, words from the Lord to the national leaders, warnings, words to the king as they went into battle,etc;

PROPHETIC ANOINTED WORSHIP: I Samuel 16:23 God even used His Holy Spirit anointing on young David as he ministered to the Lord in front of oppressed King Saul and God’s anointed “prophetic minstrel” was used by God to break the depression, evil spirit yokes off of the dull in spirit nation of Israel first KING.

IFFM POINT:SUMMARY: God’s Old Testament amazing prophetic signs and wonders to confirm both His Own Seven Holy Spirits /His true eternal AWESOME NATURE and that of His coming ONLY SON the CHRIST/MESSIAH

ISAIAH 11:2 “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him (the Son of God,Jesus,the Messiah)— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge.

IFFM POINT: AND it relates to the BOOK OF ACTS Chapter 2 Holy Spirit Day when the 7 SPIRITS OF THE MIGHTY GOD were unleashed to help the CHURCH. (but only in minor doses to ones who would respect them and submit to God’s Holy Pioneering Ministry Spirit)

IFFM POINT OF CLARIFICATION:
Today,with all the ministry various pedigrees, beliefs about this ,including prophetic denominations, each individual must take out their NEW TESTAMENT and dig past all of the POPULAR ACCEPTED (which in many parts is highly OT Levitical Patriarchal, Patrician grass roots based, which generates over much local OVERSEER PHARISEEICAL ACCUSATION) to BIBLE NOBLE BEREAN what God truly meant when HE had the First Church Apostles describe both the SPIRITUAL GIFT OF (Subjective) PROPHECY and the OFFICES of the NEW TESTAMENT PROPHET.

EXAMPLE: IFFM believes that a “spirit of prophecy” will almost 85-95 percent of the time simply confirm what another believer has already heard from the Lord. BUT as this is not a FORMULA, RECIPE we understand (based on Book of Acts and OLD TESTAMENT odd prophetic experiences) that “God does often make exceptions” (mostly to the DULL OF PERCEIVING, the NONBELIEVER and ones who are NEW BELIEVERS) (IFFM opinion…not dogma)

NEW TESTAMENT PROPHETS, SPIRIT OF PROPHECY HEBREWS 1:2
(GOD)”Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”

IFFM MAIN POINT: In the OLD TESTAMENT Legalistic Law governed, pre Christ days, the mysterious peculiar wonder-working prophets were perhaps self protective, stood aloof, as they each carried God’s spirit of MIGHT and COUNSEL and had to govern their office anointing.

These strong OT Prophets lived 24/7/365 in direct real time back and forth RELATIONSHIP apart with the LORD as His Spirit might direct them to go and to do at any time of day or night (NOTE example of the Ezekiel 1 Holy Spirit gyroscope WHEEL VISION)

AND IN historical hindsight, perhaps, as they were so few of them and each comes across as being a very rugged individual…as each one of them walked in great spiritual warfare, life threatening danger in the midst of idolatrous heathen nations and self serving mixture in SOME of the leaders/priests of their own Hebrew NATION.

ADD THIS to the major bold even FEARSOME power of God’s Holy Spirit MIGHT, POWER and COUNSEL (all Seven Isaiah 11:2 flaming spirits in differing proportions and grace given unctions) which were given to the TRUE HEBREW PROPHET OFFICES…and this definitely colored the memory of them as ANOINTED, VERY BOLD and perhaps BROODING.

IFFM POINT: Therefore in the Modern Doctrinal Leader Days, we keep finding MAJOR confusion in how one is supposed to VIEW and HERO ROLE MODEL the OFFICE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT TRUE PROPHET.

THE WRITERS admit to having to OUTLINE this based on the OFFICE REQUIREMENTS voiced in Hebrews 1:2.
“(GOD) Hath in these last days(NEW TESTAMENT,PRESENT TIMES) spoken unto us by his Son(JESUS CHRIST), whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”

IFFM POINT: In other words, rather than hero role modeling by the OLD TESTAMENT LENSE of the OFFICE OF THE PROPHET as previously described above…

….ANY ministry equipping concerning PROPHECY, THE OFFICE OF and the SPIRITUAL FRUIT born by anyone who moves in the spiritual gift of “the spirit of prophecy” AND/OR who truly walks in God’s Church OFFICE OF A (NEW TESTAMENT TIMES) PROPHET must factor in how much their set apart LIFE and SPIRITUAL FRUIT truly resemble CHRIST.

I.E.”By their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:20

IFFM POINT: JESUS CHRIST WAS/IS THE EPITOME OF EACH AND EVERY FIVE FOLD OFFICE MAGNA CUM MAGNA.

THUS if we want to truly note God’s VIBE concerning any “Promoting themselves as a REAL NEW TESTAMENT EPHESIANS 4:11 OFFICE PROPHET, APOSTLE, PASTOR, TEACHER,AND EVANGELIST…then they each must pass through the BIBLE KEYHOLE which the mature, servant office, nonlegalistic, MESSIAH /CHRIST would have also passed through.

1. ACTS 10:38 “Jesus went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the devil”
AKA Jesus Christ was not aloof, clandestine, entitled, elite or surrounded by deflective disciple handlers. While He had “reknown” Jesus was not into producing follower or celebrity hungry Boanerge wannabe adoring apostolic fans.

JESUS PROPHETIC OFFICE MODELED being approachable, unafraid of persons with unclean heavy spirits and well as allowing the children to come in close. Jesus was “set apart” but not snooty or superior elite proud speaking with people (woman at the well, dining with sinners).

APOSTLE’S APOSTLE,PROPHET’S PROPHET JESUS up front Matthew 18;15 confronted HIS OWN RELIGIOUS HOUSE by tossing over their money making tables. YET he never used hate speech, violence or abusive/demeaning, ACCUSATIVE e suspicious name calling.

AND neither did the NEW TESTAMENT OFFICE OF THE PROPHET (the non-accuser CHRIST)organize His disciples outside of the Temple to yell and scream epithets at the Temple Priests as they walked in to work.

SELAH.

THE WORLD WIDE, LOCAL AREA Prophet Jesus, who was not descended from the high priestly tribe of Levi, and who was from JUDAH appears to be of the artisan, agricultural, non LEVITICAL community.

(Perhaps Christ could perceive raw competitive legalistic accusative TEMPLE RELIGION swiftly as His mother Mary and extended natural family had not been a big part of that.”(SELAH rather than dogma)

AND as JESUS/his disciples, did not have gender, race or social strata bias. And the PROPHET PROPHET’S JESUS did not train his male disciples to “spy witches , warlocks and undermining Queen Jezebels.”

Rather, the humble servant minister CHRIST practiced REAL RESPECT for all kinds of human real persons who were MADE IN GOD’S OWN IMAGE.’ (We note examples of Jesus amongst believers and non, all races, both Jew and Gentile, males and females, old and very young).

YET, we observe that the ONLY “MINISTRY LEADER SUBGROUP” that got the nonaccuser MESSIAH righteously UPSET was His own Hebrew Temple Big Religious Pharisee Into Ungodly Mammon huge SYSTEM ….which preferred making ministry money, performing, lording their power OVER all types of others and spying on anyone they sensed might take their tithe money or positions of legalistic power.

Where the APOSTLE, CHIEF OVERSEER PROPHET the Messiah came to enlarge His Father’s FAMILY via making RELATIONSHIPS….the temple good deed doing religious PHARISEES were far more interested in power, position,and self serving pride.

WITH REGARDS TO WOMEN,CHIEF SINNERS, GREEKS, NEW BELIEVERS, GENTILES, IDOLATORS and ROVING UNCLEAN: Due to JESUS ongoing (Garden of Gethsemene) RELATIONSHIP daily with His FATHER, the Mighty Prophet Jesus knew and was able to maintain, His own AUTHORITY in the SPIRIT.

APOSTOLIC MINISTER DE-FRAGGING GENDER BIAS ASIDE:Therefore if any controlling, potentially undermining, even dark, lust filled ANYBODY would have suddenly come up upon The MESSIAH Jesus simply would have bound each supernatural unclean demon and summarily cast it out!

WITH REGARDS TO IDENTIFYING A TRUE NEW TESTAMENT OFFICE OF THE PROPHET TODAY

Their ongoing FRUITS, both private, in public, from the oracle pulpit or business leader /personal realm would over all, resemble THE (TRUE PROPHET)MESSIAH of ISAIAH 11:3,

“And (HIS FATHER) shall make him(MESSIAH) of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:”
