PERSONAL ASIDE*Many years ago back on the East Coast, one of my pastor advisor friends, who only saw myself in (my nearly 24/7 usual calm very logical ministry mode… appearing to be dignified, mostly quiet, albeit perceptively calm )…finally understood that I like rockin’ worship..AND he (really!) said,…. “Taveau…. I didn’t know that you liked “ROWDY WORSHIP.”
And I had to quietly chuckle, as I’d never heard it called that before.. BUT TO ME it’s akin to deep south bapticostal/maybe real pentecostal, and/or warship and /or all Holy Spirit directed, leader Spirit governed, praise, worship, even spontaneous, might be aka soakin, worship jazz and or my own ACTIVE DECOMPRESSION…..
SUM AND TOTAL: any kind,type, worship style, by any race, generation and VOLUME. (And as a inventive creator, I am more prone to enjoy NEW, WHAT IS GOD SAYING NOW in HIS Worship Music..I am very young heart…so NO KIND IS OUTLAWED..just as long as it is giving God the Glory because it is infused with God’s Glory.) Thus when the sr pastor friend said what he said, I just nodded and told him YES..but I will always remember him calling it ROWDY WORSHIP…” TD
